In October 2024, our family welcomed our first four-legged member—a Border Collie.
To be honest, I was against it at first. But my husband and son brought him home anyway.
Within just a few weeks, I became the one who walked him most often. It was during this time that we launched our very first retractable leash: the adorable “Panda” design.
That was my first experience with a retractable leash, and it felt surprisingly comfortable—natural grip, smooth retraction, completely changing my perception of dog-walking gear.
However, when I sent one to my sister, who has owned a small dog for years, she found it “too heavy” and had plenty of other comments.
This made me realize: No single product fits everyone. Finding the right match is what truly matters.
From User to Designer: Our Product Evolution
Today, we’ve developed seven different retractable leashes, each tailored to various dog sizes. Four of them work perfectly for our 21kg Border Collie, yet my personal favorite remains the Panda model—comfortable to control, uniquely designed.My husband, on the other hand, prefers the LED leash. He loves how the 10-meter illumination keeps him confident during nighttime walks, though I find the grip a bit challenging for my smaller hands.
Both designs are exclusive to Lefamcare—you won’t find them anywhere else.
For Small Dogs: The Mini Series
Our Mini leash isn’t suitable for our Border Collie, but it came in handy when I stayed at my sister’s place during Spring Festival and cared for her small dog.
She had been using a Flexi extra-small leash. After a week of comparison, I noticed something: with smaller dogs, their movements are gentler and easier to control, so style and portability often become the top priorities for pet parents.
Heavy-Duty Safety: Built for Dogs Up to 50kg
For larger breeds, we’ve developed our newest heavy-duty model.
This leash features a 50kg weight capacity, verified through real-person testing. It also includes an electronic whistle and SOS signal for added security during night walks or in remote areas. The customizable photo slot lets you add your dog’s picture—both a personal touch and an identifier.
My hands-on impression? Exceptional control and confidence, though it suits those with a stronger grip best.
Classic Transparent Series: Clean and Functional
Our other two models feature transparent bodies for a sleek, modern look. I use them occasionally, but the Panda remains my daily go-to.
